We are delighted to announce that artwork by Freddie Bowis, Stanley Breed, Olly Wright, Will Turner (not pictured) and John Ogunyiluka will feature in an exhibition at The Higgins Bedford.

The Prep boys all entered artwork in the Harpur Trust’s 2018 art competition, which this year asked the question; “Where is your happy place?” Their brilliant work was selected to appear in the exhibition from over 300 entries.  The art exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday 16 June to Sunday 26 August.

Particular congratulations must go to John Ogunyiluka who won first place in the 11-14 year category and Will Turner who won third place in the 7-11 year category.

“Art makes me happy. I’ve used oil pastels and the scraffito technique and I am particularly proud of the skin. The background is orange so the skin tones enhance. I’ve applied complimentary and contrasting colours for a vibrant, warm feel.”

“I used acrylic paint on canvas. I’m most proud of the sunset and the colours I mixed. It took me two weeks to complete. I decided to collage words on the painting so it would show why Blakeney is my happy place.”
