Our Y3 boys set out on foot in glorious sunshine on Thursday to visit the John Bunyan Church and Museum as part of their RE topic.

Taking in a tour of Bedford on their way to the museum, the boys found out about some of the town’s varied and fascinating history.

On arrival, the boys learned all about Bedford’s most famous son John Bunyan and discovered how his book, A Pilgrim’s Progress, transformed literature and still inspires people around the world to this day. The boys explored the museum and church and handled (very carefully) some real historic objects before heading back to school just in time for lunch.
