It might not look much at the moment but Mr Hooley and Mrs Aldridge have big plans for this space over the summer term.
They hope to create a raised bed area, where the boys can grow fruit and veg, and decorate this little corner with a wonderful mosaic wall complete with painted plant and hanging pots – all created by the boys through Enrichment Club. Using their maths skills creatively, boys will also be involved in planning the space and its planting.
The fun will continue as they watch their little patch grow, and, once established, maybe even make a meal from their fruit and vegetable harvest! Boys will also use the area to learn about the science behind plant growth, as well as weather conditions and environmental issues.
We hope that our boys will proud creators and owners this little patch of the school. Watch this space!
