Members of the OB and school community took part in the recent RideLondon event, which saw participants cycling 102 miles through the Essex countryside before finishing on the iconic Tower Bridge. The event is the largest UK mass cycling event with over 23,000 taking part.

Ally Satchwill (01-12) and James Maltby (03-13), having recently finished the London Marathon and now RideLondon, are one step away from completing the London Classics when they take on the two-mile Swim Serpentine challenge.

Other OBs taking part included Andrew Murphy (75-86) founder of the Bedford Bellybusters cycling club and Hugh Maltby (73-83) and Spencer Cartwright (04-13). Current parent Greig Spicer, also a member of the Bellybusters, took part in his first century ride.

Julian Ormerod (75-85), Chairman of Berkhamsted Cycling Club, rode in a rather professional looking Club peloton, which made light work of the course.

Do let us know if you competed in the RideLondon or any other recent events.

Next up is the Dunwich Dynamo on July 1st/2nd, a free cycling event that involves cycling overnight between London and Dunwich, a total of 120 miles!
