Our annual inter-house ‘Movember’ tug of war contest took place on Friday 22 November to the cheers of a crowd of boy and staff supporters. This hotly contested, traditional test of true grit, determination and strength, was organised by the Parents’ Guild, who, as has now become custom, arranged the event and donated the t-shirts for the teams.

Conditions underfoot were muddy and slippery but Crescent managed to dig in and declare themselves the 2019 victors with Ashburnham runners up.

A huge thank you goes to OB Tom Wootton (78-87), who was official umpire for the event, and presented Crescent with their trophy. It was a closely fought battle, with plenty of enthusiastic and vocal support along the way!

Our Movember campaign not only supports and raises funds for this incredible charity, but also acts as a vehicle for the boys to explore and discuss male health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues. If you would like to show your support for the boys’ effort in the Tug of War, you can donate via the school’s fundraising page.
