On Friday 3rd March a number of Old Bedfordians who are members of the East India Club met for drinks and a dinner at the club which is located in St James’ Square, London.

The dinner began with a few drinks in the American Bar which is a rather spacious place for a drink considering it’s in central London! They then moved to the restaurant for dinner where a number of delicious dishes were enjoy accompanied by a few bottles of the club’s Claret and rounded off with some delicious port and cheese. Highlights included the rack of lamb from the trolley and the French Brie.

Throughout the dinner OBs regaled one another with stories of their time at the school and a number of stories of their experiences post-Bedford. A thoroughly good evening enjoyed by all, on to the next!

We would like to say a big thank you to OB Harry Sturley (10-12) for writing up this event and also to OB John Messer (93-03 ) for organising it. If you would like to know more about the Club or are already a member and would like to attend an OB gathering there in the future, John would love to hear from you at messerjl@googlemail.com
