Boys in our History Art Club have been studying World War II Morrison and Anderson bomb shelters in preparation for their exciting art project.

After watching some classic British Pathe footage on how the people of London created defence shelters in their back gardens, and hearing from Mrs Lumley Wood (the mother-in-law of our Librarian, Mrs Lumley Wood) who remembers building their family’s shelter, the boys were raring to start constructing their unique models. Armed with an assortment of craft supplies and household items, they began creating realistic models of these iconic structures.

We will reveal their artwork over the coming weeks.
