Thank you to all OBs, parents, past parents and friends of Bedford School who took part in the Annual Foundation Golf Day which was held on Saturday 6th June at Bedfordshire Golf Club in Stagsden.
The winning team were 'The Draw Shank Redemption' which was made up of Chris Johnson, Phil Barrett, Mark Stuart and Simon Lowe. Well done and thanks to all the teams who turned out on a bright, but blustery day and battled their way around the course!
Following the game of golf we held an informal BBQ and prize giving where competitors and their guests were able to discuss the highs and lows of the their performances.
Our thanks go Paragon and No Limitz, who sponsored the event, and all those who provided raffle and auction prizes. We would specifically like to mention OB Mark Robinson (75-76), based in Dubai, who painted a wonderful canvas of Rory McIlroy in action which was the leading item in our auction. Finally we would like to thank the team at Bedfordshire Golf Club and the volunteers behind the scenes who all for helped make it another successful and enjoyable event.
A total amount of nearly £6,000 was raised which the Foundation will pass on to the School's Golf Scholarship Programme.
