The new school year may not have started yet but two Bedford boys have already been hard at work writing their first language essays. Frank Kupshik and Jake Duxbury have both entered Babel’s Young Writers’ competition with essays respectively titled: Emoji: our answer to a universal language? and Espanglish– A fine art or ‘una mezcla perezosa’?
The competition run by the language magazine, celebrates young linguists' insights about language, and will publish the winning two entries.
