We are delighted to announce that Jamie Williams (Fourth
Form) was selected as a finalist in the 11 – 14 category for the WICKED Young
Writer Awards 2016.

Jamie’s brilliant story: The Maid, was judged as excellent
by the judges in this prestigious competition, established by the long-running musical WICKED, which aims
to inspire young people to use their writing to
look at life a little differently.
 

As a finalist, Jamie was invited to a special prize event at the Apollo
Victoria Theatre on 24 June 2016, where he was presented with a
published copy of his entry as part of the annual
 WICKED Young Writer Awards Anthology.  The awards ceremony was hosted by Gaby Roslin,
TV and radio presenter, with prizes presented by Head Judge Cressida Cowell,
bestselling author of the How to Train Your Dragon series of books. 
Wicked cast members also performed songs from the hit musical, as well as
readings of the winning entries.
