Parent Partnership
At Bedford School, we believe that a boy’s education and pastoral care work best when home and school work together. That is why we place great value on our partnership with parents—built on trust, communication and shared goals.
Supporting You Through the Teenage Years
Parenting a teenager can be both rewarding and challenging. Our Parent Partnership is here to support you as your son grows, learns and navigates this important stage of life.
Throughout the school year, we offer a programme of talks and workshops on topics that matter to families. These sessions are designed to help you better understand the teenage experience and offer practical advice for supporting your son.
We also share helpful resources—articles, websites, and book recommendations—on a wide range of pastoral topics, so you can explore further in your own time.
Annual Parent Partnership Conference
Each year, we host our Parent Partnership Conference—a chance for parents to come together, hear from school leaders and expert speakers and explore issues that affect teenage boys today.
It is a relaxed and welcoming event, focused on honest conversation, shared ideas and practical guidance.
Topics have included:
- Eat Well and Feel Great: The Science of Nutrition for Improved Academic and Physical Performance
- Online Safety
- Effective Study Skills
- Understanding Anxiety
- Guidance on Parties and Festivals
