Having studied Susan Hill’s novel, on Wednesday 17th June the
English Department took 25 Year 9 boys to see ‘The Woman In Black’ at the
Fortune Theatre. Now celebrating 25 terrifying years in the West End, Robin
Herfords gripping production is a brilliantly successful study in atmosphere,
illusion and controlled horror. One of British theatre’s biggest and
scariest hits. The boys enjoyed the performance and demonstrated
real insight when discussing the different features of drama and
prose on their return.
