On a gloriously sunny day, over 20 OBs and their partners visited Roxton Park Trout Fishery for an afternoon of fly fishing on Tuesday 21st May.  Kindly hosted by Simon Bath (56-64) and his wife Maggie, the lake and surroundings looked absolutely wonderful in the afternoon sunshine as the fishermen took to the banks and the rowing boats.

With a wide range of experience between them, from those who fish regularly to those just starting out, the venue was a perfect location for everyone.   After a slow start the fish finally succumbed to the bait and provided everyone with the opportunity to boast about ’ the one that got away’.

Whilst there was ample time for the OBs to relax and enjoy the fishing, they also made the most of their time over supper to catch up and reminisce about their School days.  Some had not seen one another for over 50 years, so there was plenty to talk about.  There was a particularly large contingent from Pemberley who had many tales to share.

We would like to thank Simon and Maggie for being such fantastic hosts and providing such a wonderful venue for the event.

The photographs say it all!
