The Comedy of Errors

The Comedy of Errors

In Shakespeare’s funniest and most nonsensical play, two sets of identical twins, separated at birth, find themselves in the same city 25 years later with hilarious consequences.

Confused identity, assumed personas and chaotic miscommunication lead to the ultimate family crisis whereby no one (but the audience) knows who is who.

The curtain lifted on this fast, physical and furiously funny show on Thursday 27 June, and the talented cast of Y6-Y8 actors soon had the audience laughing in their seats.

With tweets flying in and influencers sharing their thoughts, this was Shakespeare, but for today’s modern media age.

Speaking on the first night of the production, Mrs Loader praised the cast and crew, saying, “A huge well done to all the cast on taking Shakespeare in their stride. The boys have been brilliant throughout, showing excellent commitment and working so hard in their own time to learn lines and cues. The result was most definitely worth it!”

She added, “Much like it takes a village to raise a child, it takes an army of supporters to put on a production. Thank you so much to everyone involved behind the scenes and all the parents for their help and support – we appreciate your commitment to this process!”
