The Prep School Astro was awash with excitement and action at lunchtime on Friday 29 June as ‘The Big Harpur Charity Bowl-Off’ took place.

The boys, who clearly enjoyed the opportunity to play even more cricket in the sunshine, were challenged to bowl as many overs and take as many wickets as possible to raise funds for the East Anglia Air Ambulance Service, Harpur House’s chosen charity.

There were also individual prizes for the most accurate bowlers in each year group. We are still adding up the overs bowled but cannot wait to work out how far the boys bowled from Bedford School. Was it as far as Lords? Trent Bridge? Edgbaston? Old Trafford? The Rose Bowl?

Congratulations to all the boys who took part, especially those in Harpur. It was a superhuman effort on what was a very hot day!
