Y7 boys enjoyed a fantastic team-building day at the school’s Ickwell Nature Reserve on Tuesday 6 June.

The four tutor groups enjoyed learning how to light a fire with only a flint and steel, and build a survival shelter. They also got to explore the nature reserve for wildlife and pitted themselves against each other in a number of problem-solving challenges. Highlights included finding a snake, a shrew and various dragonflies; cooking marshmallows, and making (and eating!) s’mores on the bonfire.

Thanks go to Mrs Russell, Mr Roberts and Mr Blacklock for organising the day and entertaining the boys, and to the Y7 tutors for their support of the boys throughout the day.
