On Wednesday 18 October, our Y6 boys and girls from Bedford Girls’ School came together for an exciting afternoon of Taskmaster-style challenges designed to build friendships and teamwork.
The afternoon started with pupils engaging in a seemingly simple task: finding rubber ducks hidden around the playground. However, the challenge quickly proved more difficult than anticipated, with mini ducks cleverly concealed in tricky spots, adding an extra layer of complexity. Despite their best efforts, none of the groups managed to find them all, and some are still being discovered even now!
After the duck hunt, the boys and girls split into three groups for further challenges. The fun and challenging tasks included creating new, unique greetings in pairs, recreating famous portraits using just toilet paper and developing dances that included four unique moves and – the tricky bit – lasting an exact number of seconds, without the help of watches or timers.
The activity afternoon was a fantastic success, filled with laughter, creativity, ingenuity and teamwork.
“It was fun and creative!”
“At break when we got to talk about life in both our schools.”
