School’s Golf Captain, Josh Taylor, has enjoyed a great summer: after
his club championships in July, with rounds of 75 and 69, Josh went on to
represent Hertfordshire in the South Eastern group U18 championships.
Finishing 4th overall in the field made up of 60 of the region’s
best golfers, with rounds of 73 and 71, Josh was, notably, the top performer
for the county in the U18 championships. The seventeen year old Golf scholar
then placed 7th in Ian Poulter’s prestigious Junior Invitational at Woburn
before shooting a course record -6 66 in a medal at Mill Green.

Not content with his successes so far this summer, Josh will
be leading out Hertfordshire this weekend in the South Eastern group match play
finals. Josh and the Hertfordshire team secured their place in the finals after
winning their pool, and now face Suffolk and Surrey for the title.

Josh is then set to round off his summer in style, by
heading to Spain to compete in the Spanish Boys Amateur Championship at the beginning
of September.

We wish him the
very best of luck.
