Despite the unfavourable forecast, we were grateful that the sun finally made an appearance for us at yesterday’s OB event at Ascot. Happily, we had a nice private box on the 6th floor…with stunning views of the racecourse allowing us to enjoy the marvellous surroundings in total comfort! Introductions were made over a very civilized champagne reception, allowing guests to relax and mingle before tucking into a delicious lunch.
After lunch, guests enjoyed some top class Flat racing for the Sagaro Stakes Raceday. The first race kicked off at 2 pm and it was great to see everyone catching up and sharing tips on how to pick the winning horse. One particularly ‘lucky’ OB informed us that the bookies misheard him and mistakenly placed his bet on the wrong horse…the horse which won the race! By the end of the day, after several bets had been placed, it was evident to see that some of us had had more luck than others!
