Our Year 8 boys were thrilled to see their Spanish pen pals face-to-face for the first time this week.
Since October, boys have exchanged letters with pupils at the La Salle school in Valencia, Spain. Tuesday’s video call allowed pupils from both schools to chat in a brilliant mix of Spanish and English.
Pupils from both schools had a fantastic time learning about each other’s school days, hobbies and interests, discussing everything from favourite football teams to school uniforms to favourite foods.
It was wonderful to see the boys conversing in both Spanish and English with their Spanish counterparts as they explored the similarities and differences in their school and daily lives.
