Partnership with the Northamptonshire CCC

Bedford boys benefit from high-performance training through specialised sessions and skill development programmes.

The partnership nurtures talent and creates a seamless transition to Northamptonshire County Cricket Club’s youth and academy teams for talented young cricketers.

Year-Round Cricket Programme

You will benefit from a year-round cricket programme, with off-season development led by highly qualified coaches. Up to five sessions per week include one-to-one training, video analysis, and strength and conditioning to help you improve as an athlete. The winter programme also features Masterclasses delivered by former professional cricketers.

 

A Wealth of Expertise

Full-time staff, including Director of Cricket Gary Steer (former Derbyshire CCC and Warwickshire Academy), Assistant Director of Cricket Tom Brett (former Northants CCC) and Cricket Professional Charlie Thurston (former Northants CCC) offer a wealth of experience and expertise.

You will also receive expert coaching from specialist external staff:

Fixtures and Tours

The fixture card is extremely strong with fixtures against schools such as Eton, Harrow, Stowe, Oundle, Haileybury and Stamford, whilst traditional two-day games against Tonbridge, the MCC and the Old Bedfordians are arguably the highlights of the season.

In recent years, the school has toured Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, South Africa, Australia, UAE and Spain embarking on a major tour every three years.
