The Sixth Form is a time of opportunity: a chance to deepen your academic interests, discover new passions and prepare for life beyond school. At Bedford, we will get to know you as an individual and challenge you to aim high. By the time you leave, you will be ready to make your mark on the world.

The Sixth Form at Bedford School is genuinely exciting. Here, you have the freedom to choose subjects you’re truly passionate about, the space to explore them in depth and the support to push yourself further than you ever thought possible.

Outside the classroom, there’s so much going on. Whether you’re into sport, music or drama—like me—you’ll find pupils who share your interests, and teachers who are right behind you, encouraging you every step of the way.

Academic Life

In the Sixth Form, you will begin by choosing four subjects from a wide range of options. There are 24 A-Level subjects to choose from, along with two BTEC Level 3 qualifications—Sport and Exercise Science, and Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. From the second term onwards, you may decide to focus on three subjects, although many pupils continue with four.
