Over the last few weeks, we have been delighted to welcome representatives from this year’s chosen charities to the school to collect the funds raised thanks to the fantastic efforts of each of our four Prep houses.

Lisa Mann from Headway Bedford, a local charity which provides a supportive and stimulating environment for people who have acquired brain injuries, collected a cheque for £2,457.74, which was raised by Bunyan.

Lynn from the East Anglian Air Ambulance was the next guest to join boys in assembly to receive a cheque for £2,749.51 raised by Harpur. The air ambulance charity saves lives across East Anglia and totally relies on donations to operate.

George Burroughs of the Stroke Association, which works to change the lives of people affected by stroke and reduce the number of people who are struck by this devastating condition, was presented with a cheque for £2,309.59 thanks to Whitbread’s efforts.

The final recipients were Tiggywinkles, a charity which cares for all sick, injured and orphaned wildlife, who was sent a cheque for £2,490.09 from Howard.

It is always wonderful to see the incredible effort and commitment that the boys put into their fundraising as well as their obvious delight in sharing the results with their chosen charities. Well done, everyone!
