School sports day is one of the most anticipated events in the school calendar. It is a day filled with excitement, competition and camaraderie, where boys and teachers come together to celebrate athletics and school spirit.
This year the weather was kind and the atmosphere electric. While the competition is fierce, the spirit of sportsmanship always prevails with boys cheering for their housemates from the side-lines, celebrating every achievement, big or small. The emphasis is on participation and effort rather than just winning.
Congratulations to Paulo Pontine who were overall winners, closely followed by St Peter’s in second place and Crescent in third.
Director of Sport, Mr Barry Burgess said, “Well done to all the boys who participated and to those who supported in such a positive manner. The way the boys conducted themselves (on and off the track) says a great deal about the culture of the school and the strength of the house system.”
