On 17th March, we were delighted to welcome back OB Sam Rayner (01-12) to be the judge for House Drama. The event took place in The Quarry Theatre and all the Houses prepared their 15 minute extracts from an exciting variety of plays, ranging from The 39 Steps to Art. It was a great opportunity for the boys to really showcase their talent and gain inspiration from Sam.

Sam has been working as a director and choreographer. Recently, he has choreographed Jack Whitehall’s arena tour of the UK and EIRE and is currently working on a series of short films in Ancient Greek, which will be exhibited at the V&A at the end of April. He has also directed a number of pieces of new writing, and his credits as an assistant director include a world tour of James and the Giant Peach. Currently, he is busy developing a radio comedy with my writing partner. He has also volunteered in the refugee camp in Calais and is hoping to do more aid work soon.

We’d like to say a big ‘thank you!’ to Sam for coming back to the School and wish him the best of luck in all his endeavours.
