It was a great weekend for Lower Sixth Former Oscar Hill, who emerged as the Eastern Region’s U18 Sabre gold medallist after a tough series of games in the Eastern Regional Youth Championships held in Stevenage.
It was an early start for Oscar and he fenced hard and strong to win the title. Oscar’s victory is even more noteworthy, given he missed a lot of the 2017/18 season. He has been training hard after school and has come back into a category that includes boys in the age group above.
Next stop for Oscar is the British Youth Championships in May, and we wish him all the very best.
