It was a busy first weekend of rugby with full pitches and a fantastic buzz around the estate.  We welcomed Oundle School for a block fixture and Eton for matches against the 1st and 2nd XV. With only one training session under their belts for many, a variety of formats were played to fit the stage or readiness of each team. As many of the matches were training matches and trial matches, it felt like a typical first weekend rugby fixture on the 1st and 2nd team pitches and it was great to see three schools with a huge rugby tradition battling it out in the grounds.

With a positive start to the rugby programme, all teams will be well-prepared for Rugby School next Saturday.
