Our crews had a busy and challenging weekend of rowing, but one which gave them some invaluable preparation ahead of the Schools’ Head at the end of term.

The J15 A crew won the J15 8s
category in style, beating Norwich school on their home water by 38 seconds.
The J15 B crew also produced a good time for their first ‘long pull’. Congratulations to both crews.

The 1st VIII competed at the Reading University Head, in
their longest race to date. The boys produced a solid row to finish 6th from 24
in a time of 14:49 – this was only bettered
by St Pauls, Radley and Kings College School – another promising result.

The 2nd VIII faced
a tough test in the Norwich Head.
The boys finished 3rd from 4, just ahead of Cambridge and behind the University
of East Anglia, on this 18-minute long
course.

Our J14 crews enjoyed a
great days racing at home against Radley
and Norwich.  With almost every single one of the 60 boys involved getting, at least, one race against these three-term rowing schools.
