We are
delighted to announce that Jack Murphy’s innovative DT submission for the
Design Museum’s Student Design Competition has been selected as one of 12
shortlisted works.

The
theme for this year’s national competition was ‘CHANGING LIVES: Travel
Migration and Mobility’; a theme which encouraged entrants to consider how they might develop design ideas that
celebrate movement, transition, or relocation or promote a sense of
togetherness and inclusion.

Jack’s ingenious answer to the brief was RESCUBE: a unique
interlocking block that can not only store essential survival goods but can
also be used as a building block for construction.

Saturday 12th March.

The event will include
a Creative Choices professional designer careers panel, chance to meet students
from across the country, a final prize-giving ceremony, plus free access to all
three current exhibitions.
