Jerome Watson gave the Pythagoreans’ Club and members of Bedford Girls’ School
Sigma Society a lecture on some proofs of the famous Pythagoras’ Theorem, using
different areas of mathematics on Friday 18 September 2015.

The lecture
also included a proof that Mr. Watson invented himself, the kind of wisdom we
can rarely see.  The relationship between prime numbers and Pythagorean
triples was also discussed.  It was a fantastic afternoon and an excellent
kick off to our lecture series!

The next lecture will be on Friday 9 October by Mr Philip
Coggins on “Drilling Square Holes”.
