Our Prep boys enjoyed a thrilling weekend of rugby in some glorious sunshine.

Our U8 A and B teams played in the Winchester House Tag Rugby Festival and our U9 A-D teams played The Beacon School on Saturday.  Both year groups played with real determination and impressed their coaches, who were delighted with their performances and development.

On Sunday it was the turn of the U11 and U12 to complete.  Our U11s travelled to Essex to New Hall School for their festival.  In a wonderful morning of rugby, the boys did not lose a match, recording six wins and one draw.  Huge congratulations boys!

The U12 team headed to Suffolk to compete in the Finborough School Festival.  The boys won all four of their group matches with some exciting and fast paced rugby, recognising their targets for each game and achieving them. They also began to work better at the breakdown to secure quick ball which they used well with entertaining running and passing to keep a flow to the game.  In the second round of games in the waterfall festival, they played the other two group winners: St Joseph’s and The Perse.  The matches proved highly competitive, with a great deal was asked of each and every player. Sadly, the results didn’t go Bedford’s way but the boys showed true determination and never gave up.

Huge congratulations to all the teams on their achievements and for being such wonderful ambassadors for the school.  Thank you also to all the parents for their tremendous support.
