The Great Hall was transformed into an enchanting Athenian forest last Saturday night, when it played host to the Prep Guild’s, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ ball.
The magical evening celebrated the arrival of summery weather, with over 200 guests enjoying welcome drinks followed by a four-course meal which took its inspiration from the Shakespeare play. Lively local band, Masonic Nights, played two hours of crowd-pleasing songs that ensured the dance floor was never empty.
From the moment guests arrived, they were immersed in an enchanting world of Shakespearean fantasy – an ethereal forest with twinkling fairy lights and lush greenery, reminiscent of the play’s magical setting.
Beyond the revelry, a raffle and silent auction took place; these would not have been possible without the generous donations received from parents and the local community.
A special thanks must go to the school’s Events and Catering teams, to the Prep Guild for its tireless work in planning the event, to the Parents’ Guild for running the bar on the night, and to everyone else who gave their support by attending, helping to put it together or by donating a raffle or auction prize.
It was a fantastic evening and we hope to see you at one of the Prep Guild’s future events.
All money raised will go to the Prep Guild, who will use it to fund projects for the benefit of the boys.
