Bedford Prep 1st XI v Bedfordshire U13

The 1st XI enjoyed a good win against Bedfordshire U13 on Wednesday 4th May.  With five players being able to play for both teams it was an excellent opportunity to show both coaches what they can do.

After being put into bat Bedford Prep got off to a poor start losing 3 wicket for 8 runs. However, an excellent partnership from Fin Cummings and Shiva Songara helped push the score up to 173 before we were bowled out.

In reply, Bedfordshire got off to a slow start as a result of an excellent opening spell by both Benjamin Ingram-Moore and Henry Warren. With the run rate now high Bedfordshire were forced to take risks, and as a result wickets fell regularly to reduce Bedfordshire to 121 all out. Zane Haroon with 4 wickets for 4 runs was the pick of the bowlers, with James Worker also bowling very well. Well done on an excellent performance and win.
