We were delighted to welcome pupils from Pilgrims Pre Prep School and their families to the school on Monday for our highly anticipated and hugely enjoyable annual tennis match.
The friendly competition between Pilgrims and our Y3 boys (all enthusiastic, regular members of our Thursday morning tennis club) is always great fun, and this year proved no exception. The 24 pupils involved enjoyed playing numerous singles games – with some fine rallies and stroke play from all the players.
While Bedford Prep may have won the match – the advantage of the extra year of tennis showing – the meet-up was more about playing together and enjoying a fun morning of sport. It was also a fantastic chance for many of our boys who attended Pilgrims to catch up and enjoy time with old friends.
The morning finished with some friendly mixed doubles matches, with Bedford Prep and Pilgrims boys pairing up to play in mixed games.
A big thank-you must also go to several of our Y8 boys who stepped up to help umpire the games and ensure the whole event ran smoothly.
