We are delighted to report an excellent 12 run win for our OB Cricketers over Wellington in the quarter-final of the Cricketer Cup which took part on the 15th July.

Having won the toss on a red hot day, we managed a total of 255/7 with Christian Davis (00-11) scoring 74* at the end after Shiv Patel (04-15) and Charlie Thurston (07-14) had set the innings up well.

Wellington were always in the game chasing but three wickets for Paddy McDuell (04-15) – including the crucial one of former Gloucestershire player Ed Young (94-02) – as well as two wickets for Ed Wharton (07-12), Harry Aitkenhead (06-12) and Vicram Sohal (07-13) ensured that we secured a tense win.

We now head to Cranleigh on 29th July for the semi-final. We do hope OBs and friends will be there to show their support. See Cricketer Cup fixtures here.
