We were pleased to spot two Old Bedfordians among those recognised by this year’s Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

England Cricket Captain Alastair Cook MBE (98-03), who recently became the first Englishman to reach 10,000 Test runs, has received a CBE for Services to Cricket. Whilst Rt Hon Desmond Swayne TD MP (70-75), the Conservative MP for New Forest West, has received a Knighthood for Political and Parliamentary Services. Our congratulations go to both men on this special achievement!

Please do contact the obclub@bedfordschool.org.uk to let us know about any other awards that OBs and Friends of Bedford School have received. We are always keen to recognise all individuals.
