Despite a rather rainy ending to the afternoon, the annual OB Tennis v The School fixture was once again a great success! The day’s organiser Toby O’Dell (78-86) was joined by Geoffrey Farr (50-56), Jonathan Ellwood (71-81), Sam Carter (88-97), Gavin Howard (77-87), James Morris (81-92), Duncan McLaren (61-68), Andy Willsher (80-87) and Master i/c Tennis, Michael Herring (91-02).
The men agreed that the standard of the boys’ play was particularly high this year, but the OBs scooped a narrow victory, beating the School 9-7. We were lucky to have just about finished the last matches before the rain came down and both OBs and boys headed over to the Langham Pavilion for a well-deserved afternoon tea and catch-up.
