On the 27th June, OBs took on the School for the annual OB Tennis v The School fixture. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, starting with a delicious lunch which gave everyone the opportunity to catch up before taking to the courts…thankfully dodging the threatening rain.
The standard all round was very good and, although the OB side won 12 sets to 8, the School offered good opposition with a few close games.
At the end of play, OBs and boys retired to the Langham Pavilion for afternoon tea, already discussing plans for next year!
The team this year was Toby O’dell (78-86), Jonathan Ellwood (71-81), Graham Saunders (58-64), Andy Willsher (80-87), Geoffrey Farr (50-56) and Sam Carter (88-97). Thank you to all those who came and made the day a success.
