A great weekend for OB sport with over 70 OBs returning to the School to take part in Fives, Football, Rowing, Shooting, Hockey and Squash, with an incredible 42 OBs returning to take part in the Football. As always, the fixtures were fun, with both OBs and boys showing a great level of sportsmanship.
The OBs saw some strong opposition in the Fives, Squash, Football and Rowing matches with some closely contested matches, and came out victorious in the end but the School held the day in the Hockey and the shooting team won by just one point! This bodes well for all these sports in the next few years when the current pupils join the ranks of the OBs!
Many thanks to all the OBs who raised teams and to the Masters in Charge for getting the boys teams together.
In the Football there were 2 matches, the first being OBs v the School (2-1 to the OBs) and the second OB Whites v OB Blues (3-1 to the OB Whites). The matches changed pitches after the first half so that everyone got a chance to play on the new 1st XI pitch. Daniel Walker (81-85) has now been organising the OB football for an amazing 40 years!
