When boys leave Bedford School, they are already a member of the Old Bedfordians Club, the entrance fee having been met by parents as part of their school fees.

There is also a second level of membership, called Subscribing Membership, which offers a number of benefits for an annual £25, which OBs can subscribe to at any time.

The benefits of Subscribing Membership are:

  • The Ousel: Our main publication of the year, the Ousel, is sent to Subscribing Members only. To give you a flavour of the articles, photographs and news in the magazine, we have made a snippet of the 2013 issue available for a limited time. Click here to read it.
  • Discounts: Subscribers also receive discounts to some key Club events such as the Annual Dinner (in 2014 there was a £20 discount) and the At Home lunch.
  • Archives: Subscribers also have unlimited access to the Bedford School Heritage website, which contains searchable digitised copies of the Ousel going back to 1876 and other publications including the OB Review, Roll of Honour and other school magazines. If you are an existing Subscribing Member, claim your login by visiting the Heritage website. Read about how to use the website here.

The annual fee is very important to the Club and the contributions help to fund new services and events for the OB Club and its members.
