When boys leave Bedford School and turn 18, they automatically become members of the Old Bedfordians Club, the entrance fee having been met by parents as part of their school fees.

There is also an additional level of membership, called Eagle Supporter (formerly Subscribing Member), which offers a number of benefits to its members.  The annual fee of only £25 is very important to the Club and the contributions help to fund new services and events for the OB Club and its members.

The benefits of being an Eagle Supporter are:

  • The Ousel: Our main publication of the year, the Ousel, is sent to Eagle Supporters only. To give you a flavour, you can read the BSA sections (which includes the OB Club) in our 2020 Ousel here.
  • Discounts: Eagle Supporters also receive discounts to some key Club events such as the Annual Dinner and the At Home lunch.
  • Archives: Eagle Supporters also have unlimited access to the Bedford School Heritage website, which contains searchable digitised copies of the Ousel going back to 1876 and other publications including the OB Review, Roll of Honour and other school magazines. You can access the archives here.

To become an Eagle Supporter, you will need to set up a Direct Debit.  You can do this online as follows;
