After half-term boys will receive feedback on their assessments. We regard this as a very important period for the boys’ learning, and ask you to help support us in encouraging them to enjoy what they have done well, and, crucially, learn from their mistakes. Alongside this, we have planned an exciting and enriching Post-Exam Programme for the boys. It is our aim to ensure that boys are well prepared for the Upper School and these final five weeks of their Prep School experience are about building team and leadership skills, resilience, independence and self-discipline, as well as an appreciation of the wider world. The overarching theme of the programme is leadership and self-motivation, and we aim to enrich learning with a number of talks and workshops for the boys to engage in. Please see the programme here and what we hope to achieve with them. Boys will continue with the Maths, Science and PE/Games curriculum as per normal, and will also all complete an Independent Research Project covering many other subject skills. The aim of the Independent Project is to get boys used to a higher level of expectation as they move on to Y9. The projects will be on an academic/world topic of their choosing and will be supervised by a subject specialist as well as being guided by Upper School staff. Please see here for further details on the project.
