This afternoon’s careers event: ‘USA University Applications’ starts at 4.15pm in the Erskine May Hall (not 6.15pm as stated on the online booking form – please accept our apologies for any confusion).
It promises to be a highly informative event, with Mikael Perreau, Senior Assistant Director of Admissions, New York University. Mikael manages admissions outreach and recruitment in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, and France for all three of NYU’s degree-granting campuses, and conducts outreach travel in other parts of Europe. He works directly with students, parents, schools, and outside organisations throughout the application process, and regularly presents on the US university application process. During the evening he will discuss the structure of US universities and the concept of a liberal arts education; the process by which you choose the universities that fit you best; the nuts and bolts of the application process itself; the key elements of putting together a compelling personal essay; and an inside look at the opportunities available to students at NYU, the largest private research liberal arts university in the United States.
