The coming week is Anti-Bullying Week 2020. With a recognition that every week should be anti-bullying week, as part of that week, boys at Bedford Prep School, along with pupils from huge numbers of schools across the country, are encouraged to participate in Odd Socks Day on Monday 16th November.

Odd Socks Day is an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality. The point is that being different is a good thing, and certainly not something that anyone should ever be bullied for.

We will not be taking any charitable donations for this day. The aim is simply to spread the message by making the school awash with distinctive (and different) socks.

If boys have Games or PE on Monday, Mr Phillips (Director of Sport) has said that either they can do the sports sessions in their odd socks or they can bring in a pair of regular sports socks to change into (down to individual choice and comfort).

We look forward to seeing an array of socks on show on Monday and to celebrating Bedford Prep School’s happy and diverse community.
