It is particularly important for the school to know of any cases at the beginning of the holidays, which may affect staff or boys from the last few days of term. The relevant time frame for identifying close contacts after receiving a positive test result is the previous 48 hours before taking the test if your son is asymptomatic, or if symptomatic, 48 hours before he started having symptoms. The local health authority has requested that we continue monitoring and reporting on positive COVID cases within our student or staff community until the end of Monday 14th December, so that we are able to notify any close contacts relating to attendance in school. We will therefore be monitoring our firstname.lastname@example.org email until Monday evening.
After Monday 14th December, you must refer any positive COVID-19 results to NHS Test and Trace only as they will be able to trace any relevant close contacts out of term time.
If your son tests positive or has to self-isolate due to being a close contact within the last two weeks of the holiday, or indeed is waiting for a test result in the last few days of the break, and it will impact on his return to school, we ask that you complete the form below, so we can put measures in place to support him with online learning from the start of the spring term. Thank you.
