Y8 Boys Step Up to Roles of Responsibility

Y8 Boys Step Up to Roles of Responsibility

Each year, many of our Y8 boys in the Prep School are awarded positions of responsibility, which they, without exception, take very seriously.

The boys who take on these roles help with many aspects of school life, but they also benefit from the experience themselves. As Prefects, House Captains and Future Skills Ambassadors, they work with fellow pupils of all ages. They hone the all-important life skills that are underpinned by our school values as they take on their responsibilities. They learn leadership skills, how to support others, and how to communicate and share information effectively to achieve goals together. They learn to use and value their judgement and initiative in making decisions. Above all, we see them visibly grow in confidence and maturity as they become role models to the younger year groups.

We hope that this year’s cohort of Prefects, House Captains and Future Skills Ambassadors will inspire other Y8 boys keen to take on roles of responsibility as the year progresses to strive to achieve these values, too.
