Vir Drives Christmas Gift Appeal

Vir Drives Christmas Gift Appeal

We are delighted to share the success of this year’s Christmas Gift Appeal, led by Lower Sixth Former Vir in support of the charity FACES Bedford. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our school community, over 100 presents were donated to brighten Christmas for families across the borough.

From popular book titles like Dog Man to family favourite games like Dobble, gifts covered all age ranges and will soon be distributed by FACES to those who need them most. Michaela from the charity expressed her heartfelt gratitude, assuring us that these donations will make a real difference to local families this festive season.

Vir, who comes from a charitable family where the idea of ‘seva’, meaning selfless service, is something they try to practise every day, explained, “Collecting gifts felt like a meaningful way to put that value into action and support people in our wider community. The biggest challenge was organising such a large gift list in a way that made purchasing gifts as simple and seamless as possible. Thankfully, my brother Kian in the Fourth Form helped expedite the process.”

In addition to this appeal, the Fourth Form contributed over 10 boxes to the All Nations Church ‘Christmas in a Box’ appeal, adding to the 20 plus boxes donated by the Prep School. These will also be distributed to families across Bedfordshire.

A huge thank-you to everyone who supported these campaigns. Your kindness and generosity truly embody the spirit of Christmas.
