The term’s sporting fixtures are truly up and running, with pupils across the Prep School proudly representing the school in rugby, football and golf.
In the busy few weeks since the start of term, five U11 rugby teams travelled to Warwick School and returned unbeaten, including the U11Cs, who were involved in a thrilling 19-12 victory. Our U13 teams also enjoyed a successful afternoon against Oundle School, while every Year 4 boy had the chance to represent Bedford in fixtures against Stamford School.
The opportunities kept coming. All Year 3 boys took part in fixtures against Bedford Modern School, while the U11A and U11B teams enjoyed the memorable experience of playing a curtain-raiser against Oakham School ahead of Bedford School’s 1st XV fixture.
There has been plenty to celebrate on the football pitch too. The U11A team recorded an excellent 5-0 win over Bromham Primary School, while the U13As secured an impressive 3-1 victory against Lincroft School.
Away from team fixtures, several pupils have also been recognised for outstanding individual achievements.
Congratulations to Jack, who has made the step up to represent the U15 golf team in the Swifts Strokeplay competition, continuing the progress he showed last season.
Well done also to Krishna, who received a Certificate of Achievement in recognition of his contribution to the Elstow Cricket Club Under-11 County Team, runners-up in the Bedfordshire Under-11 County Championship and winners of the North Bedfordshire League.
Meanwhile, Ernest capped a superb summer by being crowned Ping Junior Golf Tour Champion 2026 in the Boys 10-12 division.
