Our Prep boys proudly wore some brilliantly bright and distinctively odd socks on Tuesday to celebrate their uniqueness on Odd Socks Day.
At Bedford Prep, we are always proud to say that there is no one Bedford boy, as what makes each of them different is what makes them unique and special.
Boys in 5H also assembled a special assembly for Years 5 and 6, drawing on their form discussions, to address this year’s Anti-bullying Week theme: Choose Respect.
The Y5 boys discussed how we, as a school, respect each other and the significance of Odd Socks Day. Their brilliant ideas included:
We show respect by . . .
- always letting people join in our games
- saying thank you for the small things
- always listening to what other people have to say
- not laughing at people when they make mistakes
- speaking kindly to the other schools at fixtures
Their assembly finished with some fabulous dancing to the Andy and the Odd Socks song for this year, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.
Boys also explored Anti-bullying Week activities during tutor time and Personal Development lessons.
