It has been a week packed full of golfing competition and success.
On Tuesday, our Prep golfers competed in the Bedford Prep School Open. A very closely fought senior competition ended with two boys on the same score, who could only be separated on countback. Ultimately, Oliver Gauntlett came out on top over Caelen Standen (who won the longest drive competition). Jack Greenwood was the proud winner of the junior competition.
On Thursday, our top golfers competed at Cothill House in an ISGA Junior League qualifier. Congratulations to Nathan Nolan (Y8) and Oliver Gauntlett (Y8), who won and qualified for the National Finals. Jack Greenwood (Y5) and Jacob Schouten (Y7) played very well but did not qualify. However, they will get another opportunity next year in this U13 competition.
We also have many boys aspiring to follow in the older boys’ footsteps, who are busy developing and honing their skills in the Golf Performance Centre each week. The future of golf at Bedford is looking bright!
